In a sporting goods store, somewhere between clip-in pedals and customer questions, the idea was born:
\na pedal that always sits in the right position \u2013 no matter how the crank is aligned.<\/strong>
TOURELLY was born.<\/p>\n

From a Saturday job to the idea of a new pedal system.<\/em> Sometimes everything begins with a sentence you hear by chance.<\/p>\n

For us, it was an ordinary Saturday in 2022 \u2014 Philip was working in a sporting goods store in Vienna, in the bike department. It was his weekend job. He had no idea that this job would one day spark the beginning of TOURELLY.<\/p>\n

Between bike repairs, customer advice, and the work stand, he kept hearing the same complaints from riders:
\n\u201cEvery time I\u2019m at a red light, I get stressed because I can\u2019t clip in immediately.\u201d
\n\u201cIn races I lose one or two seconds every time I try to clip back in \u2014 just because of the pedals.\u201d
\nAlways the same frustrations \u2014 a product that had long been standard, yet still inconvenient.<\/p>\n

One day, during a lunch break, Philip was chatting with a mechanic from the workshop \u2014 a colleague and friend \u2014 and told him about the constant complaints. The mechanic explained clip-in systems with four sides, to which Philip simply replied: \u201cWhy isn\u2019t the pedal just round?\u201d<\/p>\n

A sentence that stuck. Round.<\/strong> No \u201cup\u201d or \u201cdown.\u201d No fixed orientation. No fiddling to clip in.<\/p>\n

Philip went home with that idea, opened his notebook, and started sketching. The first drawings of a round clip-in pedal were created in September 2022 \u2014 still rough, but built on a simple, clear thought:<\/p>\n
