The focus was purely on functionality \u2013 weight, materials, or design didn\u2019t matter yet.<\/p>\n<p><em>Our goal was clear:<\/em> a pedal that always sits in the right position. A clip-in system that frees riders from stress, because they no longer need to look down when stepping in.<\/p>\n<p>The first concepts were designed for MTB and gravel \u2013 rugged, technical environments where function matters more than aesthetics. These prototypes looked rough, unfinished, almost raw \u2013 but they helped us understand what it would take mechanically for a round pedal to truly work.<\/p>\n<p>We built early mechanisms, tested spring tensions, and simulated how a pedal without a fixed \u201ctop\u201d or \u201cbottom\u201d would behave.<\/p>\n<p>The result was far from what TOURELLY is today \u2013 but it was the crucial first step: <strong>the idea had a shape.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From an Idea to a Working Concept \u2013 the Birth of the TOURELLY Mechanism.
