FAQ

Basics & Order

For optimal use, you need road cycling shoes with the common 3-bolt system (e.g. SPD-SL standard).

Our cleat system is compatible with nearly all standard road cycling shoes that use this fastening standard. We put a lot of effort into making our pedal system compatible with the 3-bolt standard to ensure as many riders as possible can use it – without excluding anyone.

Regular casual shoes or mountain bike shoes with a 2-bolt system are not compatible.

Yes and no.

The pressure distribution occurs between the sole of the shoe and the cleat surface – and this corresponds to the area of common systems.

Our actual contact area between pedal and cleat is smaller because our system works differently: the cleat is fixed sideways (left and right) – not front and back like with conventional pedals. This makes tipping or wobbling impossible, which is often only prevented in other systems through a large contact surface.

Our system’s lateral fixation ensures long-lasting stability – even with intensive use.

Another advantage: the contact surface between pedal and cleat is wear-free. Even with worn cleats, the connection remains stable and play-free, with no loss of performance or ride feel.

This means: consistent performance – even after many kilometers.

At launch, no integrated power meter is included.

We are working on a further developed axle with integrated power measurement, which will be available in a future model.

Additionally, we are developing a version with a steel axle.

Both extensions aim to make our system accessible to a broader target group – without compromising on quality and functionality.

The launch will begin with a strictly limited small series of 250–350 units for Preseason 2026 – exclusively for pre-registered users. This first series will be offered at a significantly reduced price to gather valuable real-world feedback from a dedicated group of early users.

The goal: To further optimize the final product based on a wide range of real rider experiences.

Those who pre-register now can become part of this special test and development phase – even before the official market launch.

By pre-registering, you’ll always stay up to date: you’ll receive early information on production, the launch, and new features.

You’ll also get exclusive access to the first sales round – before the product becomes publicly available.

Everyone who hasn’t pre-registered can only order at a later date – so it’s definitely worth being part of it early on.

Pedal: Tech & Compatibility

Our pedal can be mounted just like any other pedal. Use an 8 mm Allen key, which you insert on the inside of the axle (pedal thread).

Please note the markings:
• “R” (Right) = right pedal → standard thread (clockwise)
• “L” (Left) = left pedal → reverse thread (counterclockwise)

The Q-factor – the distance between the pedal center and the crank – can be adjusted using the included Q-factor spacers.

Here’s how it works:
1. Open the M6 axle bolt at the pedal end (inside edge).
2. Carefully pull off the entire unit (sleeve with bearing & spacer rings).
3. Reposition the Q-factor spacers either to the left or right of the bearing depending on whether you want to narrow or widen the stance.
4. Reassemble all parts and tighten the axle bolt securely.

This allows you to quickly find an ergonomically optimal position for knees, hips, and pedaling technique.

Our pedal system is nearly maintenance-free. The oversized, sealed ball bearings are durable and resistant to dust and moisture.

To ensure safety, we recommend:
• Visual inspections for play or noise every 5,000 km
• No high-pressure cleaning

Clipping in and out works similarly to conventional clipless pedals.

Clipping in:
• Position the cleat slot centered over the pedal body
• Press down with your body weight
• The cleat clicks in audibly and securely – you are now firmly connected

You can step in either directly from above – or, like with traditional systems – slide in from back to front.

Clipping out:
• While riding, move your foot as usual
• Once you’ve reached the end of your personalized float range
• Twist your heel slightly outward
• The spring releases smoothly – you unclip cleanly and securely

The release angle can be individually adjusted via the float setting – from nearly locked to more freedom of movement, depending on riding style and personal preference.

Cleats & Setup Tips

Our cleats are mounted using the common 3-bolt standard (e.g. SPD-SL compatible).

Important: The spring should already be pre-installed in the cleat before mounting it to the shoe.

To mount the cleat, use the included screws and washers. This allows you to move the cleat vertically up to 13 mm (forward/backward) and laterally up to 5 mm (left/right), so you can adjust your foot position for optimal alignment.

Once the cleat with integrated spring is mounted, you can insert the cleat core, align it correctly, and secure it with the designated screw – and your cleat is ready to use.

At launch, there will be a standardized spring tension that suits the majority of riders – with a well-balanced entry and release resistance for sporty yet comfortable riding.

We’re already working on expanding the range to offer:
• a softer spring (for beginners and comfort-focused riders)
• and a stiffer version (for sporty riders who want maximal retention)

With our system, you can adjust the float continuously and asymmetrically – completely individually for your left and right leg.

The float is adjusted using two fine-tuning screws directly on the cleat.

These screws limit the lateral range of the spring’s float:
• Tighten the screw to reduce the float (tighter hold)
• Loosen the screw to increase the float (more freedom of movement)

This allows you to fine-tune the angle to match your biomechanics – up to a maximal float of about 10° per side. This is especially useful for riders with knee issues or to optimize your pedaling motion.

To replace the spring inside the cleat, you must first remove the cleat core – otherwise it blocks access to the cleat screws.

Here’s how:

Remove the cleat core: Unscrew the central locking screw and take out the cleat core completely.

Remove the cleat from the shoe: Now you can unscrew the three bolts and washers to remove the cleat from the shoe.

Replace the spring: Inside the disassembled cleat housing, you’ll find two inner hex screws securing the spring. Loosen them, swap in the desired spring version, and carefully tighten everything again.

➤ Please use original springs only to ensure proper function and safety.

Remount the cleat: Reattach the cleat to the shoe using the screws and washers. You can adjust it vertically (±13 mm) and laterally (±5 mm).

Reinsert the cleat core: Finally, position the cleat core back in space and secure it using the central screw.
