What’s next? 🚀 Since Eurobike 2025, this is what we’ve been quietly working on. That event was truly incredible – so many people connected with our idea, and together we’re bringing the lightest pedal system in the world to the road. From all the conversations, five main topics stood out: ⚖️ Weight – lightest set overall, but some mentioned: “The weight just moved from the pedal to the cleat.” 🦶 Stability – due to smaller contact areas, some see a risk of less stability. 💨 Aerodynamics – definitely room for improvement. 🚶 Walkability – questions about comfort when walking, due to the cleat geometry. ⏳ Release date – and yes, that’s connected to the first points above. 😉 We now have the opportunity to work with TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology) to evaluate exactly these points. Exciting results are already emerging, and we’ll share them before the release. Thank you to everyone who shared knowledge, opinions, and insights with us. July will mark the official kick off for our project with the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien), Institute of Production Engineering and Photonic Technologies. 🚀 This step brings us closer to realizing our project vision of a fully modular, ultralight, and biomechanically optimized clipless pedal. Combining cutting-edge engineering with a user-centric design. A particular area of focus will be placed on the aerodynamics and stiffness of the system, in order to be able to answer all your questions with facts and details. This is the story behind our second iteration of the TOURELLY pedal: The TOURELLY Road Ti (2024). You might be wondering: Why is it just for road bikes? The answer is simple: focus. As a small team, developing both road and MTB systems – even if they share the same core – was simply too much. We had to bundle our resources and fully commit to one path first. That said: This is just the beginning. A combined Road/MTB version and a dedicated MTB-specific pedal are already on our roadmap. With Version 2.0, we’ve fused our signature minimalist design with the clipless performance you’re used to – resulting in a pedal that’s ultra-light, precise, and built for the road. And there’s more: Every TOURELLY pedal now features *********** ******, so you can fine-tune your ride without having to buy or change anything extra. However, even better than our version 2; we are already working on v3 which is even lighter, better and sexier.
Back then (2024), our focus was on proving the concept – combining a minimalist, round design with all the essentials of a clipless pedal. Extensive testing and rider feedback revealed what the system was capable of – and directly inspired the improvements we’ve made since. At around 90 grams per pedal (in its lightest version), it was already a true lightweight. But we always knew: Minimalist design means minimal weight. That’s why we’ve been working on even lighter versions since 2024. And more than that – we’ve developed entirely new features that don’t exist on the market yet. Innovations that could set new standards in pedal design. Stick around – exciting things are coming.....
